Brian P. Bowes

Brian Bowes was born on January 21, 1965 in Norwich, New York. He grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Southeastern Louisiana University (B.A., cum laude, 1987) and Tulane University School of Law (J.D., 1990). He attended DRI and ATLA trial schools at the Hastings College of Law in San Francisco and the University of Colorado in Boulder. He is admitted to practice in Louisiana State and Federal Courts. Brian’s primary areas of practice are insurance defense, employment law, workers’ compensation, toxic torts, products liability and transportation litigation. He has successfully defended large and small corporations, insurance carriers, self insured funds, employers (large and small) and individuals before Louisiana’s courts and Administrative law Judges for over 27 years. He has tried over 300 cases to judgment.

Brian is a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, Defense Research Institute, Claims Litigation Management Alliance, Louisiana Claims Association, NAPSLO, Society for Human Resource Managers, Louisiana Nursing Home Association, and the Louisiana Association of Self Insured Employers. In addition to being a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, he served as president for the Fourth Judicial District Court Young Lawyers Section and a Master of the Bench of the Fred J. Fudickar American Inns of Court. Brian is married to Kim Helm Bowes and they have four children.
